It is the human nature that they always want to be admired by everyone in terms of their looks, including clothing and the hair style. Hair is no doubt the crown of the human personality. It is a physical attribute that reflects your inner personality. It gives confidence and boost to your personality. So, healthy hair is the vital part of a complete personality.

Healthy hair refers to the thick and shiny hair. It is achieved through good hair care. There are many factors that govern the health of the hair. These include water, oil and nutrition. In nutrition, vitamins are very crucial for the growth as well as the health of hair.

A vitamin is a broad term that encompasses many chemical agents or molecules that contribute to hair care. There are many types of vitamins classified on the basis of different source and site of action in the body. The most important vitamin related to the health and growth of hair is vitamin B. Vitamin B- especially vitamin B6, biotin, inositol folic acid, vitamin B5 (pantothenic acid) and vitamin B3 are very important for shinny and bumpy hair. These vitamins not only contribute to the growth of the hair but also deal with all the issues obstructing the normal growth. The growth related issues are rapid hair loss, split ends and breakage due to thinning of hair. Vitamin B5 inhibits baldness by accelerating regeneration of hair.

There are majorly two types of sources. One is natural, whereas other is an artificial source. The natural sources of vitamin B family include whole grains, fresh fruits, cauliflower, nuts, soy beans, nutritional yeast, milk, and egg.

Artificial sources include supplements and vitamin B complexes in form of capsules. All these vitamins are water soluble and cannot be retained within body for longer time. Thus, the efficient growth of hair requires the consistent intake of particular dose or quantity of vitamins.

Biotin is also very important component of hair care. It prevents the premature greying or whitening of hair and maintains the natural colour of your hair. Food sources such as brown rice, green peas, lentils, oats, bulgur, brewer yeast, soybeans and sunflower seeds contain significant concentrations of biotin. Its artificial sources include the variety of hair care products and shampoos available in the market.

Hair fall is the most embarrassing and traumatic problem. The specialist always refers vitamin C to avoid rapid hair fall. It locks the hair in its root. Vitamin C actually increases the flow of blood towards the scalp. The capillaries efficiently carry blood to the follicles. When the root of the hair is properly supplied with the essential nutrition, it firmly holds the hair, locked in its root. Thus, vitamin C is crucial for the strength of hair. It also gives smoothness and shine to the dead dry hairs. The natural sources include citrus fruits, kiwis, strawberries, pineapples, and tomatoes.

Hair care is incomplete without vitamin A. It strengthens the hairs through lubricating the roots. It is found in red, yellow, orange vegetables, green leafy vegetables and eggs. The calculated amounts of vitamin A can bring shine and life to the damaged dry hair. Thus, a proper dosage of vitamin, either administered orally or used within the hair care products, can certainly improve your hairs.
